RSG FC / RE / 20B 36-2-2-2 Trigger
The RSG Engineered 36-2-2-2 Custom Trigger is designed for performance Mazda engine builds using a standalone ECU.
FC, 13B-RE and 20B engines originally use a distributor-style CAS arrangement. Moving the trigger reference to the crank eliminates timing variation associated with CAS drive/gear movement and provides the ECU with a direct crank-position signal.

OPTIONAL RSG CAS DELETE
When converting to the RSG crank-trigger system, the original CAS can be removed and replaced with the RSG Engineered CAS Delete.
WHY UPGRADE THE TRIGGER SYSTEM?
This trigger design increases resolution to 10 degrees per rev, when on original CAS system it had 30 degrees per rev.
This can provide a more stable timing reference, particularly on high-performance engines. Comparable FC/RE crank-trigger systems specifically target timing movement caused by CAS gear lash.
ECU COMPATIBILITY
Designed for use with compatible aftermarket ECUs capable of supporting the required trigger configuration.
ECU trigger configuration must be correctly set up and ignition timing verified with a timing light before operation.
